What is a Vietnam family-visit visa for foreigners?
A family-visit visa (visa code TT) is one of the most common visa types in Vietnam. It is issued to foreign nationals with the purpose of visiting relatives in Vietnam. This visa type does not apply to foreigners intending to engage in business or trade activities during their stay in Vietnam.
If the foreign visitor wishes to extend their stay in Vietnam, their relative can sponsor them for a visa extension.
If a foreigner uses an e-visa for visiting family in Vietnam, they may stay for up to 90 days. It’s also convenient because if the foreigner travels to other countries and returns to Vietnam while the e-visa is still valid, they do not need to apply for a new visa.
