What is a Temporary Residence Card?

A Temporary Residence Card (TRC) https://dichvucong.gov.vn/p/home/dvc-tthc-thu-tuc-hanh-chinh-chi-tiet.html?ma_thu_tuc=4942  is issued by Vietnam’s immigration authority and allows a foreigner to reside legally in Vietnam for a specified period.

TRCs are commonly granted to investors, foreign employees with work permits, and family members of Vietnamese citizens or foreign residents. Depending on purpose and eligibility, a TRC is typically valid from 1 to 5 years.
