Vietnam work permit extension process (step by step)

Step 1: Check the expiry date and lock the filing window

Plan your filing date within the 5–45 day window before the permit expires.

Step 2: Prepare the dossier and submit to the competent authority

For the ministry-level procedure shown on the National Public Service Portal, the dossier is submitted to the Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), Department of Employment.
