Applying for a Vietnam visa for German nationals traveling for tourism, family visits, work, etc., currently has 2 simple methods: E-visa and Entry Approval Letter. Let’s explore these 2 methods in detail through this comprehensive guide!
Do German Citizens Need a Visa to Enter Vietnam?
The government has recently issued Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 [1] , amending Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022, regarding visa exemption for citizens of 13 countries on Vietnam’s unilateral visa exemption list. These citizens will not need to apply for tourist or business visas to enter Vietnam for a period of 45 days.
Therefore, if German citizens only stay in Vietnam for less than 45 days, they do not need to apply for a visa. However, if German citizens need to stay beyond this period, they must apply for a visa to continue their stay.
