FAQs
Can I extend my Vietnam visa online?
Yes – via the Ministry of Public Security or the National Public Service Portal. It saves time and reduces in-person visits.
Can an expired visa be extended?
Overstays incur administrative fines and you’ll need to pay before exit. If the overstay is over 15 days, Immigration may add you to a restricted entry list. Act early to minimize negative impact.
When should I apply to extend?
There’s no fixed legal window, but apply 5-7 days before your visa expires to ensure timely processing.
