Requirements for Electronic Visa (e-visa)
Foreign passport must be valid and not fall under cases prohibited from entry as stipulated in Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.
Foreigners must be citizens of countries and territories on the list eligible for electronic visas according to Government Resolutions.
Requirements for Tourist Entry Approval Letter Application
The sponsoring legal entity must be an international travel company in Vietnam with legal capacity to sponsor foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism.
Foreigners and Vietnamese entering with foreign passports will not be granted entry permission to Vietnam if they fall under “not yet allowed to enter” cases according to Vietnamese law.

Documents Required for Vietnam Tourist Visa Application for Foreigners
To register for a Vietnam Visa for tourism purposes, foreigners need to prepare the following documents:

Foreigner’s passport valid for more than 6 months
Portrait photo of the foreigner at 4×6 ratio, with clear face.

The legally qualified company must have a Business Registration Certificate, investment certificate of the company sponsoring the foreigner (notarized copy)
Notarized copy of Tax Registration Certificate of the sponsoring company.

Digital signature USB (Token) of the sponsoring company according to electronic transaction law regulations.
Introduction letter for document submitter or authorization letter for staff to submit documents issued by the sponsoring company.
ID card/Citizen identification card of the representative submitting documents.
After completing the document preparation step according to the requirements of competent authorities, the representative personnel of the sponsoring company in Vietnam will submit documents online at the National Public Service Portal, Ministry of Public Security
Procedures for Applying for Vietnam Tourist Visa for Foreigners
Electronic Visa (e-visa)
► Step 1: Access the website of the electronic portal of the Immigration Department and enter information to request an electronic visa (e-visa) as required:
Upload a photo of the personal information page of the passport
Upload the portrait photo prepared previously.
Fill in all information required on the form completely and accurately.
After completing all required information, you need to check carefully to ensure that the information entered is error-free.
► Step 2: Pay the electronic visa fee: Pay the electronic visa fee via e-wallet or bank account.
► Step 3: Check the e-visa application results.
Use the Electronic Application Code to check the application results. If approved, download and print it to enter Vietnam.

Tourist Entry Approval Letter
A Vietnam entry approval letter is a document issued by the Immigration Management Authority allowing foreigners to enter Vietnam for various purposes such as tourism, business, investment, work, or visiting relatives in Vietnam.
The entry approval letter is a document issued by Vietnamese competent authorities to foreigners when they want to apply for a visa and enter Vietnam. After receiving the entry approval letter, foreigners present it when processing visa stamping procedures at Vietnamese embassies abroad, or at Vietnamese international airports/border gates.
Entry approval letters are issued by the Immigration Department, Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. Agencies, organizations, and individuals inviting foreigners to enter Vietnam need to prepare entry approval letter application documents and submit them to the Immigration Department.
The steps to apply for an entry approval letter for foreigners are as follows:
► Step 1: The international travel company in Vietnam will process the sponsorship for foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism, this procedure is reviewed by the immigration management authority.
► Step 2: Receive the entry approval letter results
After receiving the entry approval letter results, the sponsoring company will send it to the foreigner to receive their Vietnam tourist visa according to the previously registered information.
► Step 3: Receive Vietnam visa
Foreigners registering to receive visas at embassies will bring their passports to the Vietnamese embassy to receive their visa. If registering at the entry border gate, foreigners will receive their visa during the entry procedure.
